This video was created as a moment of celebration, marking the hard-fought victory of preserving the Affordable Care Act. Planned Parenthood played an integral role in ensuring a blocked vote by heavily pressuring a few key Republican Senators—through lobbying, bird dogging at town halls, and using the power of storytelling on social media, videos, and with print and broadcast political ads. My role in producing this video was sourcing and pulling the footage for a freelance video editor, working with her to develop the story we wanted to tell on our journey to this monumental win. I oversaw the video lifecycle through concept, reviews, post-production, and archiving as well as licensing music and footage clearances.
